Say your boss won't let you wear t-shirts to work, even though you don't work with the public in any way. Also, he keeps trying to sell you magazine subscriptions for his kids even though, like, what is this? A doctor's office? People don't even read magazine in waiting rooms anymore, we got smart phones and they got wifi and we know how to work Snapchat. Anyway you decline as politely as possible, and every time he makes a pretend threat that he's going to fire you. You're sick of it, but the pay is good. You feel like you could do better, though. It's just every time you start to update your resume you start playing Animal Crossing or something instead. You want a change but you obviously don't want it that bad. You secretly hope your boss makes good on his joke threat one of these days because you've never been able to initate even the smallest life change on your own much less a major career change. You still use the same bed set you got at Target when you moved in with Aimee, for the love of Pete. You're comfortable. It's fine, for now.
